If revival is inward-looking, the world will continue to ignore the church. Even signs and wonders would just be seen as a curiosity. A revived church will be a challenge to the pagan world. If we get our act together, the world will hate us. A lot of people are pleased about the so-called Death of God. They are pleased to be able to throw off the restraint of Christian morality. There are many hard hearts. Revival will antagonise them. Revival will bring confrontation and persecution.
