The relative peace
of the last fifty years has brought an unprecedented
prosperity in the west. However, people have begun to
trust their wealth for their security. God is going to
shake that false security. As the world experiences more and
more troubles, economic prosperity will not last. Tumultuous
times will bring economic collapse.
These economic
troubles may be triggered by problems is the Middle East.
Those
who trust in God have no need to fear. He has promised to
keep us safe in time of trouble and supply all that we need.
Paul said,
I know what it is to be in need, and I know what is to have
plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in
any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether
living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through him
who gives me strength. Phil 4:12,13
